Big Window Theatre was formed in 2006 and specialises in theatre for very young children and their families.
The company believes in creating professional theatre with high production values that is accessible to all, geographically, economically and culturally. Their aim is to promote the development of regional talent and to work in collaboration with local theatre practitioners to make excellent theatre for children and their families.
The company has performed in studio theatres, libraries, village halls, community centres and schools creating entertaining and thought-provoking theatre experiences. They have toured within the East Midlands and beyond. Productions have included: Dream Play by Peter Rumney, More Story Please and Looking for the Rainbow both by Nick Wood, Whose Shoes, One Finger, One Thumb and The Elves and the Shoemakers all written by award-winning Mike Kenny.
Their most recent production, The Elves and The Shoemakers was created in partnership with Derby Theatre and they are delighted to be working on this production with both them and Nottingham Lakeside Arts.
